The morning after ...

Buenos noches,

We had a tiring, fun, and interesting couple of days.

Yesterday night, we celebrate a housemate's birthday all day!  We rounded up the day by going salsa dancing at a club called "Son de Cuba".  but before all that, we pre-drank at our house because drinks at bars are WAY to strong for our Canadian tolerance (weaksauce!) Here are some pictures from the pre-drink, after that I stopped taking pictures, everything got out of hand!

Birthday Girl and I, Feliz Compleanos!

After our pre-drink session, we finally left to go to salsa dancing.  At first, we started off slow because no one was really sure how to salsa dance and we were super intimidated by how well locals were able to dance.  Eventually I picked up salsa dancing with the help of some great Peruvian salsa partners who took the time to teach and us how to salsa.  We danced until midnight, after that we were so exhausted that we couldn't go any long.

A bunch of us had an extreme craving for Bembos (peruvian version of McD's) but we ended up settling for McD's regardless because we were too lazy to go down the street to find Bembos.  We ended up getting some fries to satisfy our late night munchies, and we went back to the house for some much needed rest after a fun night out with housemates.  By the way, since Peruvian food is big on chicken, here's something we don't have in Toronto...

I'm pretty sure they're chicken bites, looks pretty delicious.  They also have chicken drumsticks here!

The morning after... every single person in the house was not feeling it this morning.  Some were hungover (ahem...!) while others and myself was just plain drained from this busy week.  We sat through 4 hours of Spanish lessons and in the late afternoon, we went down to the beach to hang out while others surfed for the rest of the evening.

It's been such a busy week, and it's just flown by so quickly.  I finally caved and decided I needed to do my laundry.  It took me 1.5 hours to finish 1 week's worth of laundry, but it's finally washed and has been hung up to dry for the night.  Hopefully the moisture-wicking property of LLL clothes is going to be help me out, so the clothes dry ASAP!

It's time for bed! the girls and I are heading down to the beach to catch some sun and even out our tans before we head to Barranco for the day!

Hasta Luego, xoxo -m
